G5 5000 Adding SSD Hard Drive
So I noticed I have 2 slots for 2.5" drives and a SATA powercable for each. I just wanted to make sure this PC supports additional drives. I plan on installing a 2TB SSD drive to launch all my games from it. When reading over the specs the manual reads the following (so it got me concerned):
Your computer supports one of the following configurations:
- One 3.5 inch hard drive
- One M.2 2230/2280 solid-state drive
- One 3.5 inch hard drive and one M.2 2230/2280 solid-state drive (which I have)
Can I install another drive or will that be an issue?

You would only be able to install a 2.5" SATA SSD because you already have an NVME SSD in the M.2 slot.
That is, unless you want to swap out the existing NVME SSD for a new, larger NVME SSD and put you games on the new one...
And how much faster will a SATA SSD be vs running your games off the internal HDD?

And to carry this one step further. Many users want to run games off their M.2 drive so they get the fastest possible speed with games and programs. This YouTube video is a great look at the reality of running games, etc. off the NVMe drive.

SSD load times are faster but FPS does not really increase with SSD vs HDD. So if FPS is your goal then Buy inexpensive SATA HDD and Expensive GPU.
Most GPU right now are 200 to 900 percent over priced due to coin mining. GT 1030 for example should be $99 not $200 or more

PCI-E vs Sata vs HDD.
Outer Worlds loads faster but again FPS doesn't get better.

@IceChamber I think what you're listing there is just configurations possible to purchase on the Dell store.
The system supports more drives. My G5 had 4 drives at some point: 2 NVMEs (one on the motherboard + one in a PCIe adapter) + 2 HDD (default 3.5" from Dell + an additional 2.5" I took out of an old laptop). I could have probably installed another 2.5" HDD in the other bay (I had a 256GB lying around), but I didn't bother. I have 5TB of storage right now, lol. That's enough.
