G5 5000 compatible GPU

Question

I have a Dell G5 5000 gaming machine, purchased March 1, 2021. According to the user guide, (https://dl.dell.com/topicspdf/g-series-5000-desktop_users-guide_en-us.pdf), page 17, it states: The following table lists the specifications of the discrete Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) supported by your G5 5000.  Does this mean that ONLY the listed GPUs can be used in the Dell G5 5000? What I am trying to do is to replace the pre-installed GPU with another one, say Quadro FX 3800 since I don't need to play games on this desktop. If possible, what kind of GPU can be used with the Dell G5 5000? Thanks!

No, that list is only for Dell validated gpu.

Many modern gpu compatible with g5 5000. See user benchmark.

as long as gpu TDP is supported by current psu, should be no problem (Sometimes you need to turn off secureboot for certain gpu.)

Looks like the TDP on that Quadro FX3800 is 108W.  Should be no problem for either PSU.  The ~8' card length should fit in the case as well.   Thanks,  -Luis
