Inspiron 3670 Won't Boot From DVD Drive

https://www.dell.com/support/article/ca/en/cabsdt1/sln142679/how-to-enable-boot-from-dvd-option-with-uefi-boot-mode-enabled-windows-10-8-1-8?lang=en I have followed the steps in this link, but I can't get my Inspiron 3670 to boot from the DVD drive. If I put my Macrium Reflect Rescue media in the DVD drive, then restart the computer and enter setup, I see the DVD drive listed in the BIOS 2.13.0. I can then move the dvd drive to the top of the boot sequence, click Apply then click Exit and the computer will boot from the DVD drive and load my Macrium Reflect rescue media. But, the BIOS doesn't save the boot sequence and I have to go through these steps again and again in order to boot from the DVD drive on a future date. If the rescue media is in the DVD drive, the BIOS will recognize it's existence, otherwise it's not listed so I can't move it to the top of the boot sequence permanently. I'm used to setting the BIOS boot sequence once and forever after being able to boot from the DVD drive. It's not happening with this Dell BIOS, and Dell support tells me that it is a feature of the new BIOS, and there is nothing I can do. Does anyone else have a more workable solution, because I don't want to enter BIOS every time I want to boot from my DVD drive? Thank you.

Secure boot must be off and Legacy CSM on.

Booting from DVD requires you to spam F2 then F12 then F2 then F12 then F2 then F12 and then press enter when it shows PRESS KEY TO BOOT FROM DVD.

This works fine with OEM system Builder Disk as long as the region code for the drive is set correctly.

Thank you for your message. I am afraid, with the latest UEFI BIOS there is no option to set the DVD drive as a bootable media by default. You will have to choose the DVD drive in the boot menu every time you boot the computer.

When you start the computer tap F12 to access the boot menu & choose the DVD drive to boot from it. You can manually add the boot list option by following this link (the same link you have shared). The DVD must be in the system to boot from this list.
