NVMe ssd Expansion
I want to fit a SanDisk 1TB SSD Plus M.2 NVMe SSD (SDSSDA3N-1T00-G26) into my Dell Inspiron 3880 desktop. Is this only possible by replacing the existing Dell fitted SSD (512GB) or is there an additional slot available? If I do replace the card is there a quick and easy way of transferring the existing information between the to drives? Thank you.

Easiest way is to clone original ssd system image on an external usb hdd then swap ssd, restore image on new ssd. It will look identical. The 2nd half 512 gb of new 1000gb ssd will be “unallocated” which can have a new simple “volume” created on it in disk management

Many thanks, Paul. Do I need an adapter of some sort to transfer the data to the new drive before inserting?
