WIFI

I do not have a wireless card that supports 5G can I upgrade by replacing the card?  I have a Qualcomm QCA9565 802 1 1b/g/n card.

Your network router needs to support 5g. Also your internet provider must have 5g available. Research 5g on the web.

I presume what we're really talking about is Wi-Fi on the 5 GHz band (not cellular 5G). Changing the Wi-Fi minicard to one that supports 5 GHz should work, if the motherboard will work with the card. You'd need to provide your model number to determine what cards are supported in the system, and there may be other cards that will work. It might be easier to add a USB adapter that supports 5 GHz instead.

@rslackde  Always include exact PC model and version of Windows in your posts.

If you decide to get a USB 2.4/5 GHz dongle, make sure you disable the internal WiFi card in Device Manager first, so they won't conflict with each other.

If your internal card is WiFi+BT, and you use BT, you may want to get a USB dongle that also supports the latest version of BT too. And then disable both Qualcomm WiFi and Qualcomm BT in Device Manager.
