obviously judging by the number of posts relating to the broken hinges in dell laptop 15 3000 the hinge is a defective design flaw, and dell is dragging their feet in accepting responsibility. very disappointing. i will return it to Costco and get a a computer from a different manufacturer.

This is discouraging news, Copper. I've purchased Dell computers exclusively for the last 20 years, as well as repaired them. I see more of other brands come across my bench with any number of problems. Maybe it's time for Dell to take notice of the level of returns, and do something about the design of that particular model. Thank you for the input ... I'll be watching for that problem.
