7577 does not work on battery
With charger unplugged, laptop will not boot.
With charger plugged in, laptop works fine. Battery indicates 92% charge.
I have tried disconnecting the battery cable and reconnecting, no luck.
Please advise,
Steve

Try resetting the BIOS!!!
Disconnect AC and remove the Base Cover.
Disconnect Main Battery and RTC/BIOS battery.
Connect AC and power-on for just a few seconds.
Disconnect AC and reassemble.

Thanks Adrian, good idea. Unfortunately, the laptop doesn't boot at all now. I think it's flashing 3 amber, 1 white on the front led, which I think means it needs a new cmos battery. The flashes are pretty fast, and hard to count.
The battery is a common CR2032, but since it has leads and a connector they get $30-$40 for them. What a racket!
