Audio Sound Scratchy Buzzing Cracking

Dear Friends, I believe an Audio Sound Update ruined my Laptop.  I have tried everything that I can find to fix the Audio Sound Driver but nothing works.  My laptop is useless now.  I tried to reset the sound drive to a previous time but the new driver wiped out the old one.  When I attempt to watch a video, that’s all I’m I can do is watch it, because the Audio Sound Quality Cracks Pops and distorts so badly that I can’t listen to it.  I used plug in headphones to see if the terrible audio sound quality would be circumvented but no, it sounds exactly the same.  I tried wireless headphones, but the sound was crackling popping and distorted.  I have searched the internet for a solution but I can’t find one.  This is why I turn to the experts for help and advice.  You are my last hope to fix this problem.  Thank you for your time, patience and help.  I truly appreciate anything you do.  Alan

My speaker is making a crackling sound   Make sure the speaker/headphone cable is not damaged. Audio cables and connectors can gradually wear with use. Try plugging the cable or headphones into another audio device (like an MP3 player or a CD player) to check if there is still a crackling sound. If there is, you may need to replace the cable or headphones.
