Battery replacement for Dell Inspiron

Hi, I recently bought a new battery for my Dell Inspiron 7720 17R SE. It performs well, but there's a warning message during the boot. I just want to check if its product code is genuine. Thank you.

 

New 60 Wh battery (type T54FJ):

That's a third party battery - it is not OEM Dell.

Thank you very much. Is there any way to distinguish a genuine one when buying it?

Buy from Dell -- or a seller like parts-people.com that sells only OEM.  Otherwise, ask the seller.

Finding OEM batteries for an aged system like this may be difficult - once the five year mark passes, new batteries are generally no longer made by Dell's OEM supplier.

Yeah, my laptop is like 5 or 6 years old. Thanks again for your help. I returned the battery to the seller.
