Computer Died

After years of going with Apple products, I decided to buy my wife a Dell laptop because of the price difference. You get what you pay for. After only 18 months, the computer died. Now Dell is telling me it’s going to be $39 diagnostic fee and approximately a $250 repair. My Apple computers, while slow, are still working 10 years later. When asked the representative about a trade-in or replacement program, he said nothing like that exists, which is disappointing. Not sure I want to pay $300 for a repair on a part that only last 18 months and since I’d have to pay full price for a new one, I think my days as a Dell owner have come and gone.

Too bad for you.

I on the other hand have several used Dell laptops that I bought used on eBay (with unknown prior history) and they are still going strong.

I won't pay $$$ for any Apples. If you have $$$ go for it!
