Dell E5577 Hinge Break!!!

Question

I had bought my Dell Inspiron E5577 about an year ago from a reputed store named as Jarir Bookstore in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After a week it started showing signs of damage at the left hinge. We soon went to the Store as the laptop was still under warranty but they refused to check it saying its a minor problem and not their fault... I then got busy with my daily work, as a result, the damage got severe and almost irreplaceable. I again approached the Dell Service centre in the state and they denied any responsibility. On inquiring further with my colleagues and the internet, I got to know that I wasn't the only one and multiple users were facing the same problem. The Dell service centre is ready to repair the laptop but it is the same cost as that of the laptop... I owned a Dell Inspiron 14r. Its still an amazing laptop even after using it for around 7 years(Only slight software problems). So I thought to go for Dell again. But I  was wrong. It is not the company it once was. I will opt for HP or Microsoft next time. Very Dissapointed with the company even after being a customer for all these years. The laptop is still in warranty and any help will be greatly aprreciated.   Sincerely, A (old)Dell User

Sorry to hear of your hinge problem.  I have a 5577 but do not have any hinge problem.   Warranties vary by region/country.   Maybe one of the Dell employees on here can be of assistance.

Talked with the team but no one is ready to help. Clearly shows laptop is still under warranty. Very dissapoited with the customer support. I don't even want a refund or replacement, I just want it repaired.
