Dell g5 15 se Hardware failure
Not even two months and this happened,
Was just using the laptop normally when the ssd all of a sudden died. Lost a lot of work and files I needed, this is unacceptable.

Go into setup to verify that the drive is indeed missing (F2 at powerup).
The warranty will cover a replacement drive, but your lost data is not covered. Be sure you purchase a backup drive to use going forward.
There are two types of drives: those that have failed, and those that will fail.

The same issue happened to my dell latitude 7400 bought last June.
The system freezes then shuts down, and the reboot shows "Hard Drive - Not Installed". However, with a second reboot, the OS will be back.
Google found quite a few people have a similar issue; however, I haven't seen any right answer from Dell but asking us to F2 checking this or that, or even assumed it is the power board issue. Dell could Google "dell Freezing reboot Hard Drive - Not Installed" and will see lots of similar issues.
Can Dell really try to figure out what the problem is? A new computer should be like this.
Thanks.
