Dell G5 Memory Change Warning

I have a Dell G5 15 5587 that all of a sudden when I turned it on said warning memory change. Ever since than my laptop has been extremely slow, the fan goes off when you have 1 google tab open, systems crash, and the whole computer shuts off if unplugged from the charger for more than a few minutes at most (reverting back to preboot and giving me the warning memory change popup. Running windows tests shows that it's fine but dell supportassist diagnostic tests don't run. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Hi @H2GOUCHE welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum. All G Inspiron Laptops questions should be posted HERE on the G Inspiron Laptops board.

The Dell G5 15 5587 has two Memory slots. At Alienware or Dell G logo splash screen, press and hold down the F2 key to enter BIOS/UEFI menu and look at Main page to see if the memory capacity has changed.

The problem could be poor memory card seating/captivation in their slots. Please reseat these memory cards having removed any dust or debris from the system board (aka motherboard) memory slots using can of dry air. Do not touch (contaminate) the memory card's copper electrical contact surface. If the full memory capacity is not restored, try one card at a time, to determine if a memory card or memory slot has failed.
