Dell G5 SE 5505 Realtek Driver Update Issue.

The new update of Realtek High Definition Audio Driver (version: 6.0.9049.1, A03) is not yet compatible with Dell G5 SE 5505

I had the exact same issue, the workaround is rolling back Realtek drivers from 6.09 to 6.08 to fix the issue.

Vishu Reddy,

Do you get an error while trying to update? The driver is listed under drivers for your system.  Can you explain why it is not compatible?

Vishu Reddy,

Thank you for letting us know about the driver.  For now, just keep the previous version installed.  I am going to let our engineering team know about this issue.  Thank You.

Yeah, It was working with the previous version after updating it the speakers stopped working. So I decided to download the previous version of the driver and it started working. I updated it again to check if it is compatible but it still wasn't compatible.

Discovered the same thing, was able to roll the driver back in Device Manager and sound was restored.  Reported this on Tuesday through Dell Support WhatsApp chat.

I also have this issue, except rolling back the driver does not fix the problem.

Hi, I would also like to check if you have updated the BIOS and also performed complete Windows updates.
