Dell G7 Screen issue
Dell G7 Screen issue.
I have the Dell G7 7700 with the 1080p 300hz display. Yesterday the bottom maybe 1 1/2” of the screen just completely stopped working while I was streaming the Buccaneers game, but if I switch it to 60hz it’s fine. This issue even appears in the bios so I am assuming it is a hardware issue but I wanted to see if maybe anyone here maybe ever had this happen? Another thing is the Refresh rate through windows is 300.158hz, should I try to set a custom refresh rate at 299.99? Thanks

The first question would be, does the issue occur with displaying other than streaming content? If it does, it suggests a display issue. If it does not, it suggests a connection or network bandwidth issue.

In the bios, as soon as windows boots up. I can’t see the windows home button or any of my task bar.

You can run a screen diagnostic - hold D through powerup - to confirm the fault. If it shows there, the screen needs to be replaced.
