Dell Inspiron Laptop Battery Replacement Type Matter?

Hello, 

I received a warranty my battery was at end of life. I ordered a new battery based on the model type above directly from Dell. However, when replacing the battery, I noticed the connection slot for the new battery is about 1 inch off. This results in a kink in the wiring for the battery line. The only different between the two batteries is the Type #. By using this different type with a kink in the laptop, will this cause any issues, like overheating, fire, malfunction? Old BatteryNew Battery with Kink
