enter system password help

A customer bought in a Dell Inspirion N5040 today but has a system password on it at bootup and can't get past it, Has anyone any ideas for me to try or can someone from Dell contact me please

The customer needs to place a voice call to Dell support - once they verify the ownership of the system, Dell will unlock it.
