From researching the many issues associated with the 5593's, I think the answer to this is HEAT.
The screen being raised into position will Block the ventilation exhaust ports, trapping heat inside. I would bet you have also had issues with poor performance, and likely some video issues as well-- screen going black.
The solution seems to be that there is no solution. This is horrible engineering resulting in a failure of heat management. From there, a cascade of issues results in a computer that effectively can not be used as intended.
Solution? Dell needs to do a product recall on these machines, and refund customers or replace with a computer that is not plagued by shoddy engineering design.

BTW---- it IS an Inspiron 5593-- isn't it? You didn't mention that, but I would be shocked to find out another model has the exact symptoms of the dreaded 5593's.

Rightly said. Struggled a lot but finally got a bit of relief after replacing the keyboard.

Well, I have model 5594 with this issue. Simply put, the N, B, and spacebar keys are not working at all.
The Dell warranty expired in January 2021.
But Costco gives an extra year of coverage, so I sought their help. It turns out that they try all of the usual online fixes, such as running Dell's online diagnostics, reinstalling the drivers, updating to the most current version of Windows, etc. Eventually, all of those measures fail, probably because this is a genuine hardware issue.
The Costco Concierge Warranty department requires, as a last resort, that the user does a reset to the original factory state of December 2019. That means destroying all user data and user-installed software, and going back a few versions for the operating system. If the problem persists, only then can one send it somewhere for repair or replacement.
Has anyone actually tried that?
Of course, if I open the case on the machine, that would void their warranty.
Meanwhile, I discovered that Dell offers an option to renew the original warranty, which would cost $99.38 including tax. What do you get for that? It seems like you would then go through all the remote diagnostics (as above) and after those fail, you can mail it in to their repair depot.
Then you wait 12-15 business days for Standard Service, or 5-7 Business Days for Express Service.
I don't recall exactly, but I think we paid about $700 for this machine during Christmas sale at Costco.
Probably the best solution now is to treat this machine as a desktop instead of a laptop, go to thrift stores to find an external keyboard, and carry on until something else fails.
Does anyone have a better suggestion?
Thank you!

I would love to hear from anyone who has replaced their inspiron keyboard. My machine is model 5594. Dell has told me several times that it is out of warranty. SO, they would like me to purchase additional coverage, but I imagine it would be less expensive to obtain a replacement keyboard.
Has anyone in the community replaced the keyboard without shipping the laptop to Dell?
Would you trust a local small repair shop?
Where does one obtain a reliable replacement part?
I am willing to take the machine apart and replace it myself if I can find a good step-by-step instructional video.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
