Fingerprint Reader no biometric device
I have an inspiron 14 2 in 1 and part of the reason I bought it was for the fingerprint reader. Several months ago (after a Windows update) this quit working. i've just spent 2 hours on Dell updating drivers including fingerprint reader and BIOS to try to fix and Windows (also up to date!) says Windows Hello can't find fingerprint reader. Device manager doesn't show biometric device even under Hidden devices. I've done everything and I want the fingerprint reader back.

Hi, i had same issue on Precision 5570.
It has been resolved with a BIOS update released on end of August.
Check if the device is in the bios menu, if not check for bios updates.
