G15 5515 AWCC issues

Out of interest are you using an admin account or a standard user account? 

I've been looking into this a ton today trying to figure this out, because it really bothers me, so pardon for the longer post, where I'm going to info dump a lot of what I've compiled. I own a G5 15SE 5505, so not quite the same, but in the same boat that our computers aren't Alienware-branded. Can't speak on account of win11 though, as all my experience has been win10 so far.

About a week ago I had the thermal profiles from the Alienware OC controls working fine, which I had gotten the downloads from here (this post also contains some stuff that may be helpful to you, particularly jailbreaking the power settings through the registry if that's the same on your system, so give it a look).
I could set custom fan curves for profiles, but only use those profiles for certain games (You can actually apply settings without the home screen, through setting your profiles for specific games in the library. 
After about 5 hours of looking through unanswered questions, all I'm left with is that this is an intended feature--non-alienware devices don't get a FX screen and a Home screen. The first is fine, my laptop has no RGB to control...but the second...that's the stupidest design choice I think I've ever seen. Just looking at the description of what the homescreen allows:
-Change the power profile for a game or a system
-Creating theme
-Applying theme to games
-Apply system theme
-Changing your system theme

These aren't add-ons, these are essential features. There's probably some kind of workaround by spoofing it into thinking that you're always running a game by making it recognize some windows sub process, and then attaching a thermal profile to that, but the fact I even have to consider that really should show you how bad this is. 

The official video from here is even more disappointing. Despite being the tagged "Install Alienware Command Center on another computer (Dell G-Series or non-Alienware computers)", it is more about Alienware dongles than any sort of computer or G-Series. 
 
The single worst part is the engineers who made this will probably never feel my sheer wrath or see this post, and I doubt customer support has the solution for a problem that originates from higher up. Still, I wish you the best of luck...now I sleep.

If you do happen to figure out how to set a default profile, this post might help you engage AWCC services for fan control without having to manually start the program every boot. 

Thanks for the long post and the links.  The holidays have been very busy for me so I haven’t had the time to try to fix the issue.  Your post brings up an interesting thought.  Perhaps this is related to Dell treating AMD like the red-headed step child.  I picked up a 5511 SE during Cyber Monday and AWCC works perfectly with an intel chipset on a G15.  

Okay wanted to quickly reply since this morning I apparently found what I had been missing this whole time. Not entirely sure if you need this now though since it's working correctly, but figure I'd finish what I'd started.

Does includes the defaults I've been ranting about, apparently there's another way to set the thermal profile default.
In the thermal profile section, after you've made a profile, you see this page

Normally, after pressing that link icon you can select which games you want to apply your configuration for. Apparently, the weird gray box that appears at the top...isn't just a placeholder. In fact, if you go to swap to list view within that link...it calls it "MY SYSTEM"! Which does indeed, set your default profile. I'm typing this on my other pc and couldn't find any pictures online, but outside of list view, this is legit a basic photo album looking picture...who could guess that would represent system?
This program is just...wow man. So much weird stuff, and technically it's all there but it just isn't friendly to the user in any sense of the word.
