G7 7790 CPU speed issue

Hello,

My G7 laptop shows strange behavior...

I was to identify it always running 4 Ghz which is TurboBoost.

Looks like BIOS is not able to maintain proper speed and change it accordingly to usage.

I was browsing the community forums and there were a lot of similar issues and the only way is to disable TurboBoost or try undervolting.

Maybe there is another solution to that issue?

I just purchased my G7 less than a week ago and I am experiencing CPU speed @ 4.5-4.6 GHz at idle. I’ve updated all drivers and unplugged accessories but it still shows same speed.
