Headphones Microphone does not work

A few weeks ago, I uninstalled all sound devices on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 3583). I reinstalled the devices but ever since then, my headphones and headset mic do not work. When I am on a call, my built-in mic is used which has such a loud background noise that no one can hear what I am saying.

I tried reinstalling the drivers but that didn't help. I switched headsets but that didn't change anything. At this point, nothing seems to work. Is there any way I can get my headphones mic to start working again?
