Hinge Issue

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 3511 in 2022 and have already faced hinge problems more than once. Dell did provide a free doorstep service previously, but the same issue has returned again. It's really disappointing that a laptop in this range has recurring hinge failures-it feels like a design flaw more than regular wear and tear. Why do these models keep facing the same problem? I expected better durability and support from Dell.

It's not a design flaw so much as a device built to sell for as low a price as possible.  There is only so much an manufacturer can build into a $500 notebook durability wise, and you'll find that entry level consumer grade notebooks are pretty much built the same way.

They're designed to look nice in a showroom and last a couple to three years before being replaced.
