How to disable background noise suppression for the microphone?

Inspiron 14 7425 2-in-1

Inspiron 14 7425 2-in-1

Hi, I have bought a brand new inspiron 14 with windows 11. I am a musician and I need the laptop to pick up the musical instrument sounds I play. The laptop picks up my voice clearly, but does not pick up any instrument sounds, even a clap of hands. This happens even if I connect an external studio quality mic to it. I am assuming this is because of the active background noise suppression.

How can I make my laptop pick up any instrument sounds ?

I'm guessing this is the MaxxAudio Pro software's Noise Guard feature. You can turn it off in MaxxAudio Pro's Advanced Options: un-check the box for "Activate Noise Guard".

I have a question. I am working with the Dell MaxxAudio Pro 2022 version and need the parameter to turn off or uncheck the Noise Guard in the Windows Registry...I have multiple computers to turn off the Noise GuardNoise guard.JPG and would like to do this at the registry level instead of touching every computer and do it manually...

Thank you much for any information.

I have found a version of maxxaudio pro by waves. But it does not show any advanced options  to turn noise suppression off. Any help?

Thanks

@mikewr09 hello. I have the exact same issue. Been going crazy since days trying to record my guitar. Same problem as everyone above. Pick up my voice perfectly, but no guitar, no hands clapping...etc

And my version of Maxxaudio pro by waves do not give me any option to turn off or on noise suppression. Please someone help me here .

Should i simply uninstall Maxxaudio ?

Cheers guys

I have the same issue on my DELL Inspiron 16 7640; the enabled "Remove My Background Noise" feature on my laptop conflicts with one of my applications, and I need to disable this feature knowing that every time I try to do so through "My Dell" application, it crashes once I try to access the "Audio" settings through "My Dell"; knowing that my laptop is equipped with the RealTek audio card.

Note:

* I have tried everything to resolve the "My Dell" crash issue to be able to solve this, but, unfortunately was unsuccessful.

Appreciate your support.
