I have the same issue for two months, and i try all sort of fixes and anyone work, until now. I think maybe this will fix the freezing problem, all you have to do is uninstall the Dell Support Assit software. I'm two and a half days without any issue after that.

I have the same issue as you pc freezes (unplug power ac restores temporarily), but I didn't find the Power Management Lite app name on my pc.  My model is Inspiron 7559. Have any ideas?

Most of my drivers have been updated too using a scan tool to find old drivers.

I have had this problem for a year now.  Only solution is unplugging power cord if it's plugged in and then plugging it back in.  This needs a bios fix.

Thank you so much.  Went through every performance tool on Windows with no luck. Your solution seems to have done the trick. Will continue to monitor but first 24 hours seems promising

Hey,

My Inspiron 15 7000 that I bought two month ago keeps freezing and I have tried everything to fix it. But still not working so far. Now every 3 minutes, I have to manually press the power button to use the computer

I need some help.

Worked like a charm. You are my God, Voivod. Thanks for posting and saving me and other souls like me. Dell support is pathetic. They have no clue about their systems.

I had an app called Dell Power Manager which was the source of all the trouble (as Voivod found). If your issue is still unresolved (I hope it is, this is so frustrating), please see if you have such an application.

I had the same problem for few month...

I try all solutions that i found in intranet but nothing hepled me.. I found solution by myself. The problem was at battery. I pulled out battery and start windows.. And freezes was gone.. Then put the battery back and everything was working as usually.. I hope that will help somebody...

Have had the same issue with an Inspiron 15. Followed Voivod's method - fixed the problem and my laptop is going so much faster!. Thank you for all your helpful comments.

Thank you for posting this. I hope it works with the 15 3000 - which is the worst I've ever owned. I have a Windows 7 (at least it was before I was forced to upgrade) that runs far better than this. I will never buy a Dell again.
