INSPIRON 3501 ALERT, TPM NOT DETECTED
I purchased a new laptop for a friend and it worked ok for 2 days and now is displaying this ugly message at boot. I tried to check the BIOS but is locked at UEFI only and has no TPM options anywhere, the only option that appears at security is wiping the hard drive. I tried to install Intel Management Engine and it fails, tried to look for TPM at device manager but is not present, tried TPM.msc and it shows no TPM is present, I am out of ideas, is there any way to fix this? it took me around two days to fully customize her windows and dont want to do that again with a clean laptop...
Any ideas of what to do? Thanks.

If TPM is not present, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1) Latest Bios update did nothing, neither chipset update.
2) it seemed to have reset the hour and date but TPM message is still showing up.
3) NOTHING in the bios says TPM, the only option that shows up in the BIOS -Security is to wipe the disk.
I had to give the Laptop back, as this is a Logic board replacement, I am utterly disappointed with Dell laptops quality and will likely be the last one I purchase from Dell.

This system does not have a hardware TPM. What CPU do you have? Most of the Intel CPUs in this model support PTT (platform trust technology). To enable that, you must have installed 64-bit Windows with secure boot and in GPT mode (not MBR).

I3 11th gen, Windows 11 64 bits, The error appears at bios (when starting the laptop) not in windows, windows has no issue. The TPM does not show up at bios at all and windows cant start TPM module either. Intel Management Engine Interface Driver could not be installed anyway.

@ejn63 is spot on. In the BIOS possibly under security there should be a setting for PTT and it must be enabled. And you must have Secure Boot enabled as well.
However this forum thread shows that other users had a problem and in some cases the motherboard had to be replaced.

In what market (location) was the system originally sold? There are markets where TPM (or PTT) technology is banned by local laws.

It was purchased in USA... I'm just waiting for the laptop to be replaced as the only way to fix it is replacing the Motherboard. It will be replaced anytime now.

@lehcastillo
Hola!!!
