Inspiron 3593 Processor Upgrade
Hello, I would like to know how I can upgrade my processor.
I currently have the Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz, 1190 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) but would like to upgrade to i5 or i7 10th Gen. I am kind of a newbie at upgrading Dell computer modules so I may need some help . I also need to know what processor I need to obtain: i5 or i7. Thank you!

The processor is soldered onto the motherboard, so the only way to upgrade is to completely replace the motherboard with one containing a better processor.

Since this is a new system, also note that even if you replace the mainboard -- which is very likely to cost well over half what the system did initially -- it will also void the warranty, so you'll end up with an unsupported, no-warranty system.

@Kflash08 if you could do you have any motherboard recommendations that would work well with the original casing? any help would be appreciated thank you.
