Inspiron 5593 10th-Gen i5 MULTIPLE issues
Wow. Let's start at the beginning: From the Community forums here on the DELL site, all the pieces of this puzzle can be gathered. The core issue is bad engineering in a flawed product.
Seriously Bad design and engineering of the Lid/Screen hinge design actually BLOCKS ventilation ports.
This results in Overheating, which then causes
- video distortion/blackout issues,
- Graphics failures,
- motherboard issues/failures,
- keyboard issues and failures.
Here is what I want: Dell can take this laptop BACK, issue a refund, OR send a similarly equipped laptop of a different design (minus the FLAWS of the 5593), and I will give Dell another chance to keep me as a customer.
Here is my current trouble ticket. Yup-- Warranty expired a few days before I addressed this for my elderly mother-in-law. I don't care. The ENGINEERING of this flawed pile is not her fault. DELL needs to step up.
Honestly-- many customers have been harmed by this, and the whole of them together need to consider addressing this in ways which would cost DELL a lot more than just being ETHICAL and RESPONSIBLE in addressing an engineering MISTAKE with the 5593's. Do the right thing Dell-- Do the right thing.

So what IS the solution to a corporation who refuses to do the moral, ethical, and responsible thing in addressing design flaw deficits that render a product nearly unusable?
REPLACE THE LAPTOP!
Do the right thing DELL.

The only thing fix that can be done with these is to stop exchanging your hard-earned currency for the products here that may or may not have any life to them. What makes it worse is that the system known as Dell Support refuses to even acknowledge issues exist, even with hundreds of people posting the same problems here on these forums.
My own 7 year old Dell finally died... plastic fatigue where the hinges attach. I replaced it with a L*n*v* idea-pad, and didn't even feel tempted to look at any Dell Laptop. I would have-- but Dell continues to do nothing and lies about the existence of flawed laptop designs that kills components. I wonder how much money that flawed design is costing them? I know one thing-- it cost them a CUSTOMER who will NEVER buy another Dell Laptop.

So has ANYBODY here successfully resolved their 5593 issues? Of course not-- because Dell doesn't Care. They just want you to GO AWAY.
LOL--- I did!! This L*novo Ideapad is a fantastic replacement for me. I hope all of you have found suitable replacements for the tech garbage produced and sold to you.
Remember-- the way to solve this problem is to get out there and VOTE-- using your Money to do so. Dell is like a small child who must be taught that there are consequences for lying and not fulfilling your moral and ethical responsibilities after selling defective products. Be sure you teach Dell the meaning of the word INTEGRITY. They have clearly made the choice to do all of this the hard way, and that is a lesson they get to learn as well. But hey--- teaching is fun.

No.
This goes WAY beyond that stock auto-generated answer. I want someone to send a box to my mother-in-law and take back this FLAWED and UNUSABLE computer.
Somebody there needs to put on their big-boy or big-girl pants and CALL ME directly to resolve this. And I am NOT interested in talking to ANYONE in tech support. I want this computer RETURNED for a refund or replacement with a similarly equipped laptop. The 5593 suffers from multiple issues due to bad engineering and design and is not fixable. So for Dell-- the fix is to REPLACE IT.

You could reach out to our support team for Home Users at: Notice any discrepancy? You could check your warranty at:

DELL has NO ability to fix this computer for any customer. It is a design flaw that will continue to eat every part you replace. There is ONE solution, and your "support team" will not be authorized to initiate that ONE solution-- to send my mother-in-law a box to return that poorly engineered for a REFUND, OR, a different laptop similarly equipped that is NOT also of the design of the 5593.
You can't fix it. But you can replace it or you can refund the price. This is where we're at, and you have only ONE ethical and responsible choice.

NO, I am not going to get into the insane circular logic of your "out of warranty" team. I don't CARE about the made-up warranty date. This is a DESIGN FLAW that makes the computer UNFIXABLE.
I understand the corporate structure in place does not allow you to do anything. I get it-- YOU can't help me. Then Promote this , Escalate it, Advance it, do just whatever the h you need to do to get me talking to someone who CAN help resolve this. That will be the ONE useful thing you can do, so please go fulfill your new-found purpose on earth.

Oh what a poor service!
i can understand you, dude. My Inspiron 14 5402 stopped unexpectedly and i don't know how it's possible!!! I agree with you, poor thermal dissipation, poor design and Intel i5 11th gen are very bad cpu!! Always overheating!
My Inspiron doesn't turn on, also I think, due to overheat, motherboard has died or battery has died because i've see some strange things... Now i'm scared to connect my charger to my notebook because i'm wonder about some explosion....
I will conctact the support, my warranty will expire in 2022!

@Zanzo319
yes-- it seems they are only interested in packing as much in as possible so the specs on any given unit looks good, even though the design won't work and won't allow that great processor to function due to overheating.
I don't think it's a processor issue at all--- if the cpu can't get rid of the heat it generates, then it will throttle down and barely work. MANY have described this in the 5593's Other parts have just failed under repeated heat-stress. Dell is capable of so much more than this. They need to be responsible and address these issues.

Very weird that @DELL-Cares has nothing to say here. Oh wait-- that's not weird at all. I already know what they have to say. There is Nothing they can do--- and that's not because the warranty period lapsed; it's because there IS NO FIX to a design flaw and poor engineering. The only fix is for DELL to replace the defective products.
While Dell support remains ominously SILENT,tThe Dell moderators have been busy -- LOL. They have removed my suggested "solution" on several posts for all 5593 owners which would involve those owners re-evaluating the future choices they make in acquiring any computer hardware. Voting with your money is often quite effective. Good luck everyone!

I had a phone call this morning with an "Escalated Support Manager". He lasted about 5 minutes with me, and then admitted he does not have the authority to deal with this properly. He advanced my case up the chain, and I will get another phone call tomorrow.... Hmmmm. how long will this next one last?

Almost certainly you are correct.
The next level up in the support chain called me yesterday. He lasted about 6 minutes with me, insisting that this model has NO issues like I am describing, and that my characterization of these issues is just my opinion. Wow. I directed him to these forums to read about all the people that are having these exact problems that he claims don't exist. It's probably important for him to learn, you know, so that he doesn't look like a lying shill for Dell. So, that ended that level of "support".
The next dude is supposed to call me on Monday or Tuesday. Maybe he will go 7 or 8 minutes. I wonder if any of them have a pair big enough to actually DO something for the customer here. We'll see.

I agree, I bought a dell inspiron 14 and it’s not even 5 months old. I have already had the motherboard replaced once and will have to get it replaced again as the ports have stopped working. I would love a refund or new computer as well.

Just an FYI to all.
Dell FAILED as expected.
That next level of support, claiming to be the top level of support (I guess he has no bosses) simply denied there are any issues as described, stated that it was merely my opinion, and then had the cajones to offer to "fix" (impossible due to bad engineering) my elderly mother-in-law's computer for a $100 minimum charge. What a gigantic Pair on him. I didn't know they grew them that big in India.
Can't wait for that new Hot laPtop to arrive.
