Inspiron 7560 cellular adapter missing

If you purchased the mobile broadband adapter (WWAN card) from your cellular provider, the connection will use that.  If you expected there to be a WWAN card in the system as it arrived from Dell - there is not.  I don't think you'll find any Inspiron systems where Dell supplies a WWAN card at all, even as an option.  You may be able to add one, but you'll have to buy it from another supplier.

Nope!  Using your service tag to search the original manifest and Windows 10 drivers, there is no cellular broadband option for your laptop.

A WWAN card would do the same thing your USB adapter does, but is a separate hardware component.  You'll have to ask the supplier of your USB adapter or your provider about how its driver works -- assuming you've installed its driver.  It should indeed show up under Windows, but won't work with any Dell software supplied for your system - it will have its own driver and software.

The adapter that I purchased was a ZTE model MF79s, which is one of those that look like a flash drive that we stick it into the USB port.

I assumed that, in addition to this adapter, my laptop should have the WWAN card, as I learned from the other post in the Latitude forum (perhaps I didn't understand it correctly?).

Just to reinforce: the adapter works perfectly, as announced by the supplier. The only problem is that the cellular network adapter doesn't show up on my Windows, as I specifically needed it to.

The ZTE MF79S provides mobile broadband but it needs a SIM card from whichever provider you want to use.

Those sold on eBay claim to be unlocked but you still need a SIM card to use it.

It's also basically a mobile router that uses your PCS mobile broadband connection  -- it doesn't provide the full functionality that a Windows driver supported WWAN card does.

As noted, what  you have purchased IS a router - it just connects externally through the USB PCS device.  It's designed to allow other devices (including the system to which it's connected) to go online through it.

This isn't a WWAN device that affords a direct Internet connection through the WWAN card -- it will always be an external PCS router - not a WWAN card. 

I've looked at the service manual for this system and don't see a WWAN slot - nor are there drivers for a WWAN card listed for this model, so it may well not support a WWAN card at all.

Do you have any examples of mobile broadband adapters which happen to have that WWAN card?

Or maybe do you know what should I look for when reading their user manual?

Systems that support an internal WWAN card will have that indicated in the service/owner's manual, and have a separate slot for a SIM or micro SIM card.

I don't see either as options on the Inspiron 7560 (or most other Inspirons of recent vintage).

Many business-class (Latitude and some XPS) models do have support for these, though that varies by market.

This is a cellular mobile broadband adapter capable of two-way digital communications with modern cellular broadband networks. Before going any further, locate the IMEI on this device and verify with your desired cellular service provider that it will work on their network.

This is not a Dell problem. @alexandrebodi bought a WWAN device from whomever and is using whichever mobile provider SIM. Clear as mud.
