Inspiron battery problem

Hello,

I have an Inspiron 15 3576.  Last month I noticed that the battery was losing it's charge very quickly and it will only last about 15 minutes on a full charge.  I tried to buy a new battery from DELL, but they don't sell the battery for my laptop in the accessories section.  So I went on ebay and found a new genuine DELL battery which was exactly mine (i.e. a 40Wh M5Y1K).  I plug it in and it gives me an error screen as shown below.  But this IS a genuine DELL battery, so how is my laptop not recognizing it????????  I have updated my drivers as well as the BIOS drivers, but it still gives me the same error.  My laptop works perfectly fine with the charger but of course it is not very 'portable' now.  I don't want to buy a new laptop when the one I have works fine.

Can someone please help??

Thanks.

Those questions need to be asked of your seller.   Even if the battery is OEM, it's probably not new, as the system itself is at least five years old.
