Inspiron G5 5590, BIOS 1.17.1 failed, link broken, #2

Question

I'm currently using BIOS v 1.16 from Dell.

A new BIOS update showed up in both Dell Update and SUpport Assist today, but i couldn't download it and install it. Status is "failed".

Can't find this BIOS on the Dell website either.

I am having the same exact problem. I have been on with someone from SupportAssist for over 2 hours and it won't update. They have had me try to download it and install in manually multiple times and it still won't work.

I too have the same problem with my Dell G5 5590 and G7 7590/7790 System BIOS v 1.17.1 will not download using both direct download from Dell site, nor from Dell assist.  Shows download failed

I have the same problem as well, my keyboard backlight has stopped working, I was hoping that if I update to the latest BIOS it would fix it, but I couldn't.
