Integrated Camera Suddenly Stopped Working
Before someone replies with a canned response, I've tried the following,
1. Uninstalled/re-installed drivers
2. Checked Camera Privacy Settings for affected programs
3. Checked BIOS> Miscellaneous Devices to see if integrated camera was disabled within BIOS itself.
4. Tried updating drivers (reports back that WIndows has already installed the best available drivers)
5. Uninstalled Anti-Virus/Internet Security Suite
This is what the Camera App's viewfinder looks like,
Camera App Blank
Do you have any other suggestions besides what I might have tried above? My last resort would be to do a clean install, because I don't have a spare HDD to backup my existing files/programs and licensed copy of software (it would be painful to let the IT team intervene and wait for them to deploy end-point policies on my spare BYOD work device).
I also ran diagnostics and here's the result for Integrated Camera (if it helps; the device in question is Dell Inspiron 13-5378, but I have read online that this is persistent across many other Dell Inspiron models),

Some people have reported that they had to go into their laptop an re-attach the webcam.

Thanks. Is this a hardware issue or this is how it is as an aftermath of messed up firmware after a Windows Update?
