Obviously I am not happy that is why I have written here in the first place! You shouldn't be in customer service if you can't be of help to the customer.
I have tried running the diagnostics several times but it got stuck in the "Get Driver & Downloads". Can I still run this even my service plan has expired?

There's no way to answer without knowing what model system you have - keyboards vary in price, as does the labor time to replace.

Ignore the spammer.
Take the system to a local computer shop to get another estimate for repair if you're not happy with Dell's repair estimate cost.

Have you run a systems diagnostics yet? Please run Dell SupportAssist, make a note of any error messages encountered and post back.
