There's no way to answer without knowing what model system you have - keyboards vary in price, as does the labor time to replace.

I am using Inspiron 11, 3000 Series Dell laptop. What other information do you need from me?

The cost of a keyboard is between $20-30 in the US;  add whatever an hour's labor costs in your area to come up with the total cost -- in the US, expect a shop to charge between $50 and $100 total for the job, depending on location.

Ignore the spammer.

Take the system to a local computer shop to get another estimate for repair if you're not happy with Dell's repair estimate cost.

Have you run a systems diagnostics yet?  Please run Dell SupportAssist, make a note of any error messages encountered and post back.

Here is information from the Dell knowledge base you may find helpful:

Keyboard, touchpad, or mouse not working correctly

Obviously I am not happy that is why I have written here in the first place! You shouldn't be in customer service if you can't be of help to the customer.

I have tried running the diagnostics several times but it got stuck in the "Get Driver & Downloads". Can I still run this even my service plan has expired?
