Laptop not opening

That usually means a corrupted or bad firmware problem.  If you need more information, at least post the full model number and the recent history of the system (Inspiron 3501, 5593, etc, plus whatever was done recently -- software or firmware updates, etc.).

For the best accuracy, it's recommended to include your specific model as all models have different diagnostic codes.

Your issue seems to be firmware related, like a corrupted BIOS/UEFI update, which you'll have to contact Dell for or replace your motherboard.

The blinking red and white light pattern usually indicates a hardware issue (common on some Dell/HP laptops).

Try these steps:

1. Disconnect the charger.

2. Remove the battery (if removable).

3. Hold the power button for 30 seconds.

4. Connect the charger and try turning it on again.

If the lights continue blinking, check your laptop model's error code guide, as the blink pattern can indicate issues with RAM, battery, or motherboard.
