Laptop Won’t Boot
I have an Inspiron 15 3000 series. Yesterday, it was working just fine and when I opened to start it today, I pushed the power button and all that happened was the battery LED on the front of the laptop flashed once, the computer made the usual “clicking” sound that it does at startup and the screen had a brief flicker, but does not go any further in the booting startup. Initially, I thought that maybe it was because the battery was too low, so I plugged it in again and made another attempt to start it and the same thing happened. I then tried unplugging it, removing the battery and holding down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual charge. I reinserted the battery, plugged it in again and the same thing happened. Still thinking it was still not charged enough to start, I just kept it plugged in a while before trying again. Same thing happens: The battery LED flashes once, it makes the usual startup “clicking” sound and then does nothing more. I have tried removing the battery and draining any residual charge multiple times with no change. Is there something else I can try?

Remove the hard drive or SSD and see if the system will power up to a boot screen. If it will, the drive is bad.
If it will not, the mainboard is bad.

Welcome to the Dell Community @cpuaggie
Hold down the "D" key, push the power button, release the power button, wait 2-3 seconds and release the "D" key
The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2 or 3 times.
After completion it should try to automatically boot 2 or 3 times.
If it does not boot, then the next thing would be to disconnect the BIOS/CMOS battery.
Since you did not post the exact model number I am unable to tell where the Coin-cell battery is located.
Best regards,

Perform a hard reset.
For Dell laptops with removable batteries, see the User Guide for your Dell laptop for step-by-step instructions to safely remove the battery.

Now try to reset the CMOS/BIOS.
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/inspiron-15-3567-laptop/inspiron-15-3567-service-manual/procedure?guid=guid-e1fcceff-91cf-4ecc-8039-28fbee2fbc28&lang=en-us
Disconnect the AC adapter and the “Main” battery.
Disconnect/remove the “Coin-Cell” battery.
Connect the AC adapter for 5-10 seconds.
Then disconnect the AC adapter.
Connect/insert the “Coin-Cell and Main” batteries.” Only”
Turn the laptop over and open the lid.
Now connect the AC adapter.
It should try to automatically boot 2-3 times.
Post your results.
Best regards,

Hello,
I tried what you asked and it did go through the LCD test successfully, but when it tried to boot, it did the same click, flash of the battery light and slight screen flicker.
I looked in my purchase records and as far as the model, all it says is it’s a 2019 Dell Premium Inspiron 15 3000 15.6 inch Hd touch screen. The service tag on the back does not say anything more specific about the model, just the service tag: , express service code: , manufactured in 2018. I hope that helps. Thank you for your continued assistance.
