LCD Monitor fuzzy on and off on my 3540
I have a 3540 that has a monitor problem: the monitor will get fuzzy and shift a silhouette of the screen halfway up the LCD, return to normal, and then do this again every two seconds or so.
I was told it may be an LCD inverter, but not sure if that's the problem or where to purchase one. Can you assist?
Thanks!

Thanks for waiting.
I ran the diagnostics and the video card checked out fine. Funny thing is that the screen seemed to be OK when in diagnostics for a few minutes then continued flickering after that. There's also a vertical and horizontal line that never went away that's slightly to the left of the center of the screen and almost to the top if you can see it in the preview above.
Do I still need a cable or will another device work?
*Edit: Diagnostics only reported a battery error, but this is because I previously removed the battery since it was malfunctioning.

If the screen is showing the artifacts during the diagnostics, it needs to be replaced.

Tried a new ribbon cable and still the same problem exists. Not sure if it's feasible to fix the product at this point. Only thing is I'm wondering what caused the problem to begin with.
