Linux Desktop OS Will Affect Anything (Hardware & Drivers)?

Hello Friends, Currently iam using Windows OS in my Laptop. I have read in lots of tech news and blogs, Linux is more secured and provide high performance than Windows. So i want to try Linux OS. If i install Linux OS in my laptop, it will affect anything in my Laptop like Hardware and Drivers? Please clear my doubt. Thanks.

Hello Friends,

I have Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with below configuration installed with Windows OS. Windows is working dine for me without any issues or trouble. I want to know if i move to Linux, i will get more features and performance than Windows 10?

8 GB RAM
128 GB SSD Disk
1 TB SATA Hard Disk
4 GB Graphics

I am waiting for your suggestion.
