monitor issues
I have a inspiron 2500 running on windows xp. When I try to change the screen resolution
it acts as if the monitor is phisically bigger,i.e. I have to scroll left or right/ up and down to see the corners of the window.
This laptop has the capabilities to run an external monitor but I don't have one hooked up.
How do I change the resolution without changing the window size?

since the monitor is acting like secon monitor you need to right click on the desktop and select properties. select the display tab click on the second monitor and then set the settings.
