I apologize for any technical troubles you may have experienced with your Dell system. Please know that we strive to provide our customers with systems and components of the highest quality and the lowest failure rates. Though, this practice cannot guarantee absolutely trouble-free performance. Like all mechanical devices, computers are sooner or later subject to performance failures, no matter how well built they may be.
Consequently, we provide warranty coverage and a choice of Service Plan Agreements that furnish our customers with a range of options offering thorough coverage & customers have the option to purchase extended warranties for their systems.
Completly agree with you. This series of Dell Inspiron 7460 is having issues, so many people with this invariably are complaining about battery, charger, screen flickring, speaker and motherboard. The performance is pathetic. I too bought is and am repenting till date. The battery stopped charging. Had to replace the screen twice (under warrenty). Now they say I need to change motherboard because of which the battery is not charging. they have sent me a quote of 13 K to be paid in advance.
A company like Dell should have been more honest to its loyal customers. They actually should have called back all these faulty devices and replaced them at no cost. I was happy with the old device but this once is absolutly pathetic in every way. And Dell is simply brushing it under the carpet. I personally know 3 peopole, who are suffering with the same machine.
Apparently Mr Sreejith, these kinds of customer complaints are not new for Dell systems. I've been a pure Dell consumer for a long time too and faced the same issue of Charging and motherboard a month ago. The extended warranty contract for my system expired in the month of February 2021 and the best service that your so called company "strives" to give is nothing but a shallow and spurious hoax. The authorised service personnel told me that the motherboard of my system is no longer available with Dell.
I work in the computer science field myself. If you're telling me that your company abruptly stops the spare parts support for systems which are not more than 3.5 years old, then let me tell you sir its just a matter of time before other OEMs take advantage of this fraudulent business tactic of Dell Technologies and wipe out Dell from the Indian market. This system cost me 65K INR back in 2018 February, do you think I didn't have the option to go for a macbook air instead for the same cost?? And trust me their service support is quite commendable.
Your company doesn't extend the warranty contract after 3 years of purchase, what kind of reliable customer service do you call this? Your company is not doing a favour on its customers by allowing them to purchase these service contracts. Companies make millions every year through these post-sale service contracts and yet they don't maintain the basic etiquette and business ethics to support spares for atleast 3.5 years.
Shame on this brand, my experience with dell has been execrable. Right from the purchase there were minute bends in the bezel of the screen, a strange clicking voice coming from under the hood, a screen blinking issue on Windows 10 and after a year the keyboard started showing faults, thanks to the extended warranty, I got the keyboard fixed without a hassle, but the former issues could not get resolved till date as the service guy said - "These are minute manufacturing faults, can't really do anything". I was astonished to hear such idiotic, childish and highly insensitive responses from this brand, what if I make a fault in paying you at the time of purchase, you'd like that right? Highly unprofessional and worthless brand that deserves to be kicked out of India. Period.
