Need help for distorted display

So, this happened yesterday. I just sat to switch on my dell vostro 15 just like a regular day and I noticed the display is suddenly distorted. There were several colored lines on the display and not just that, my laptop was not functioning well. It was so slow all of  sudden. Then I plugged in the charger because the battery was less than 10% and then suddenly after half an hour everything was fine. I also restarted it once in between. And then I left it to charge fully and now it is okay.

Can anyone tell me if that is the same case with most of the Dell laptops? Should I do something about it or report it or what?IMG-20211218-WA0116.jpeg

Start with a complete system diagnostic -- F12 at powerup.  Record any errors by number (2000-0133, etc.).

There was once showing no errors. Ansd sometimes it shows many errors.

Even sometimes there is no visibility of the power switch or the volume button on the taskbar. I have to go to settings and then search for them and make them function.

That means a dying hard drive -- which could easily be the root cause of the problem.  Make sure you have a complete system backup -- then replace the drive.

What were the numeric values (i.e., 2000-0151) of those "many errors"?

@ejn63

I remember one being 2000-0142
