Operating system down

I have a P69G001 13" laptop.  The operating system won't boot (start screen repeats over and over until the DELL support assist screen" comes up to diagnose the issue, though nothing ever comes up.  It has a service tag of but of course DELL doesn't recognize this, so I can't even make a bootable recovery drive.  Please help.  My computer is dead!  BTW, this this all happened when I was using my pc and put it in sleep mode.  It just likes to sleep I guess.

I am not familiar with PG69G001. That is not how Dell refers to the different models laptops.

Probably a failing hard drive.
