Password authentication system

Question

This is the second time this computer has done this.  The first time was under warranty.  Dell said they replaced the motherboard.  Best Buy Geek attempted to get past the password screen here using their Dell passwords.  They informed me that the password is NOT the correct one (for the service tag anyway, apparently there is some confusion as to WHAT Dell put in there).  They sent the computer off to you guys,  and Dell wants $200+ to reset the password (we are still waiting for its return).  Now,  we're not going to pay $200+ for a 16 month old $400 laptop that has failed TWICE....  (It can no longer be trusted).. But I would like to get it running for the grandkids.Anyway to blast out that password?   Heres a screenshot...  tnx… cl
