Power limit throttling Inspiron 13 5379. Post your CPU Power

I have been having Power Limit Throttling issues with my 5379 i7 8550u Inspiron 13 laptop. My idle CPU core power can range anywhere from 5-25 Watts. On battery power, this is often above the Power Limitting 1 Throttling value of around 15 Watts and the laptop slows down to a CPU frequency of 399 MHz.

If anyone has the 5379, could you please run HW Info or HW Monitor and post what your IA Cores Power and CPU Package Power are and whether you have the i5 8250u or the i7 8550u? This will let me know if this is a product wide issue or just an isolated issue with my laptop.

Hello NESB,

There is a screenshot about the i7 8550u version:

I also have a lot of problems with this machine. The earlier version (7359) has always worked perfectly and was quiet.

This machine is terrible, the fan is constantly loud and the ACPI driver of the machine is buggy. This was my worst Dell product ever.
