Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
Hy everyone.
So I had an Inspiron 15 gaming 7567 for a while now. I formatted it a bunch of times over the years and never had a problem until yesterday. In my freshly installed Windows 10, I went straight to the Dell website and downloaded the support assist tool, set out to install my notebook drivers. It seemed to work, but there was no sound coming out of the speakers. I've checked that the version installed is the same indicated by Dell website indicated to my notebook.
To try and solve this, I tried:
- Updated Windows 10;
- Uninstalled all sound controller drivers and ran the support assist tool again;
- Uninstalled the drivers and installed an older version;
- Ran windows 10 diagnose tools (to no avail);
- Tried some solutions I found on the forums (delete Waves MaxxAudioPro and such)
I don't know what else to do, I'm getting no audio whatsoever from my speakers.
Can someone help me?

If you plug in external speakers or a headset, do you hear audio through them?

@ejn63 Yes, I have an USB headset that when I plug it in it works just fine.

That very likely doesn't use the audio driver -- does a headset plugged into the 3.5 mm jack function correctly?

@ejn63 I can't test that, I don't have one that goes on that jack

By using Windows troubleshooter I was able to find a driver that partially fixed it. Here is how it is now:
It installed a driver version 10.0.19041.3636. Now I can hear sound coming out from the speakers, but it feels "different" I guess the subwoofers are not in play, the overall quality seems lower and the Wave MaxAudioPro is now disabled. Also, this is not the version recommended by the Dell website.
When I click the "enable" button it doesn't change a thing.

I tried formatting the notebook again, start from scratch once more, but to no avail. Also tried this solution, but didn't work either: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/inspiron/sub-woofer-doesnt-work-dell-inspiron-7567/647f7c5cf4ccf8a8deab1b17?commentId=647f7cdcf4ccf8a8deb4388d
