Reverse typing and touchpad issues
Inspiron 15 3000 that is just out of warranty!
This system has a bug nobody seems to be able to solve! When online in a browser, or filling out a form, the displayed typing is erratically reversed . After after that is deleted, the next typing is normal. This never happens offline, like in an Office program or any other software, only when it is on-line. The keyboard driver has been deleted then the latest Dell keyboard driver was installed. On-line there's chatter about the Right /Left-Shift keys reversing typing, changing location, languages. the Right /Left-Shift doesn't work and the rest are as expected. I opened a service ticket while it was in warranty and the Dell support person wanted me to make changes in BIOS settings that do not exist on this system. Seems he had no knowledge of this system so nothing was fixed.. Now Dell wants me to send it back and pay for out of warranty service. I'm in the service industry and know how problems that can't be duplicated are fixed. Wipe them off and send them back!
Also, the touch pad is real junk. Sometimes the tap works well and later it ignores the tap unless it get a sharp tap, like from finger nail. I've tried all the upgrading drivers and the touch pad settings just to to get it this good!
I'm not a computer novice and am willing to try any suggestions, including incense and holy oils! So if anyone knows what's happening please...speak up!
