Screen not working after replacing hard disk
Hello All,
I have an Inspiron 7520 and I have just replaced the original hdd in it with a crucial bx500 SSD.
I installed windows 10 on it but now I can't seem to start the system. When I press the power button, the usual 3 buttons and the power button lights up but the screen does not start. It remains black and does not light up.
Can somebody help me resolve this issue?

Shouldn't windows 10 come with the basic drivers already installed in it?
Even without drivers, shouldn't I atleast see the dell logo and the option to enter bios? If not, how can I install them without display?

Welcome to the Dell Community @jakelong00
At this point drivers have nothing to do with your problem.
You are correct "Even without drivers" it should post to the splash screen.
Hold down the "D" key, push the power button, release the power button, wait 2-3 seconds and release the "D" key
The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2 or 3 times.
After completion it should try to automatically boot 2 or 3 times.
Post any results.
Best regards,

I tried to do the LCD Test. Out of probably 10-15 tries, I was only able to see the colours 2 time successfully.
I also tried to do the epsa diagnostic test (fn key+power key) and saw the same thing happening - out of probably 10-15 times I was only able to enter the test once. Rest of the time screen did not lit up. The result of the test was successful for all parts.
I was only able to enter the lcd and epsa tests with the old hdd installed. I couldn't get into the tests even once with the new SSD.

Have you tried that SSD in another laptop???
Do you have an external enclosure you can install the SSD in and then test???
Do do you have another HDD/SSD you can install in the laptop??? "Just to Test"

Do you have an external enclosure you can install the SSD in and then test??? - What is an external enclosure? I used the bracket which had the original hdd for the new one?
Do do you have another HDD/SSD you can install in the laptop??? "Just to Test" - Unfortunately no
