Selected boot device failed on Dell

By Legacy Boot, I used MBR partition scheme for BIOS and UEFI for windows 10 installation. later while installation process it shows error as "the selected partition is of GPT scheme type" . But later when i change it to GPT scheme for UEFI for installation it says "selected boot device failed".

You need to back up and explain exactly what you are doing.  What is the entire model number of the system?

You cannot install UEFI on an MBR configured drive. Your system will install in the configuration to which you booted the install media if it has the ability to configure the drive.  Can we assume your system is set to do Secure Boot or is it older and normally runs in Legacy mode?

If this is a new install or clean install and there are no other partitions on the drive you want to keep, boot to the correct configuration and during the install, remove all partitions.  Once the partitions are removed, the install will configure the drive and complete the install.  The drive should not be pre-formatted.

If you have data on the drive you want to keep, lets talk about that.
