Seven beep error code with no display

Question

I started noticing a weird behaviour of the system going off automatically. After a while, it started giving me the seven beep with no display, which seems to be a CPU problem. I checked the CPU and the thermal paste is completely dried up. Is there a possible fix to the problem or the CPU needs to be changed. The system is an inspirion N5050. Thanks

The failure of CPU is very rare. You can replace the thermal paste and test again. If the beep codes error is persisted, you can replace the CPU as its cost is just a few US dollars, an example of i5-2430m.
