I have the same problem with an Inspiron 3543.but the Intel fix did not work. In my case I replaced the hard drive and did a "bare metal" install of Windows 10 Pro. At some time since that install the SM Bus Controller shows no driver. The Dell Support Assist utility has not offered a solution. Service Tag .

If that does not work then post the hardware ID???
