SupportAssist Not Installing OS
Hi All,
Sorry if this question has been asked. I could not find a solution here so far to my problem.
I had a hard drive failure on Inspiron 15 5567 . Replaced the hard drive. Configured SupportAssist USB drive. After much difficulty in which I used Rufus to make the drive bootable the setup for SupportAssit completed successfully.
Put the USB drive into the computer while computer was turned off. Booted up tapping the F12 key.
Boot mode is set to: UEFI; Secure Boot: ON
I see:
UEFI BOOT:
Windows Boot Manager ( no other options; no USB drive listed)
OTHER OPTIONS:
BIOS Setup
BIOS Flash Update
Diagnostics
Change Boot Mode Settings
When selecting Windows Boot Manager a window opens with "SupportAssist" at the top of the window and an error message:
No bootable devices were found! Possible causes could be a corrupt OS image or a boot device is not enabled in BIOS setup.
I tried disabling secure boot mode and still no help.
I've been working on this now for days. Thank you for your reply.
Richard
